MONSON — The Monson Cemetery Commission deferred policy votes and planned its annual Cemetery Walk event. With members Sarah McNamara Pedder and Dr. Richard M.
Smith present Thursday evening, the commission unanimously approved prior minutes and tabled approval of new rules and regulations, with a vote on disinterment and remains-movement fee clarifications also deferred, both pending member October Boots' attendance. Cemetery Foreman Mat Wawrzyk reported the Cemetery Walk will begin at 7 p.m. with 6:30 p.m. gathering time at the Jacob Thompson House; Wawrzyk said he would request Gifts To The Town funding after the State Cultural Council denied a grant application. The commission approved assistance for a Girl Scouts Silver Award gravestone-cleaning and video project.
