MONSON — The Monson Conservation Commission unanimously waived its Right of First Refusal for a 2.65-acre parcel on Lower Hampden Road owned by Anthony Patalano, finding the lot unsuitable for conservation despite ecological constraints. Chairperson Glenn Colburn expressed concern that the Planning Board had labeled the wetlands-restricted property as buildable on an Approval Not Required plan. The Commission also agreed to modernize the 37-year-old Old Stagecoach Lake Treatment permit when it expires in March 2028, citing outdated standards for herbicide use and drawdown practices.
A partial Certificate of Compliance was unanimously issued for an estate property at 4 Thayer Road pending spring verification of vegetation stabilization.
