Electronic Voting Committee refines Select Board proposal on voting system
Electronic Voting System Committee · Meeting of March 9, 2026
MONSON — The Committee to Research the Use of an Electronic Voting System advanced a proposal to the Select Board requesting a warrant article for system funding. Chair John Morrell, along with members Mary Watson, Peter Matrow, Alice Davey, and Keith Valley, refined the document by removing restrictive language and broadening governance, designating the Town Moderator and Town Clerk to head a bylaw committee. The group also amended the budget to include a projector, screen, and two laptops for use with the voting system.
The proposal must reach the Select Board by its March 24, 2026 meeting to appear on the Town Meeting Warrant.
