MONSON — Finance Committee explores level-funded budget as school superintendent works toward reduced proposal. Chair Peter Fimognari requested line-by-line departmental budgets showing where cuts will occur, while Administrative staff member Sherri Roberson presented multiple fiscal projections. School Administrator Jennifer Wolowicz reported the School Committee will vote April 15, 2026, and Superintendent Foster will present a proposal reducing an original 5.9 percent school increase to 1.9 percent at next week's tri-board meeting.
The committee acknowledged that department heads expressed discomfort submitting cuts in advance and emphasized the personnel impacts of proposed reductions.
