Fire Department building project nears completion with four change orders approved.

Monson Fire Department Building Assessment Committee approves three change orders worth $9,355. Chief Brian Harris reported the Tecton project is 99 percent complete on masonry with interior and exterior framing mostly finished; the committee unanimously approved change orders for overhead door painting ($4,021.86), interior ballards around fire sprinkler pipes ($3,310.51), and kitchen cabinets ($2,023.68), while unanimously rejecting a ceiling fans modification. Harris announced the department has received a one million dollar congressional reimbursement grant.
