Memorial Hall Committee approves water-based finish for floor-refinishing public bid

MONSON — Memorial Hall Renovation Committee votes to base public bid on water-based floor finish. Chair Mary Watson, Alan Morin, Bill Dominick, Robert Lamb, Peter Warren, and Robert Wilson approved a motion for water-based finishing after discussion of durability and suitability options. Contractors will be barred from starting work until after the June 9 town election.
The committee also finalized details on an engraved-brick fundraiser with contact Mike Breen of Brick Makers (1-800-634-8948 x230) and agreed to add a Town of Monson website link for donations. Funding approved at last October's town meeting must be expended within a year.
