Monson Select Board approves three-year IBPO police contract
Select Board · Meeting of March 16, 2026
Monson Select Board unanimously approves three-year IBPO contract with $750 lump sum and raises. The agreement, ratified by the union on March 13, covers July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028 and gives each officer a one-time $750 payment. Town Administrator Jennifer L.
Wolowicz said the annual pay increases of 2 percent, 1.5 percent, and 1.5 percent match the town's AFSCME rates. The contract also elevates special officers' pay to Step 1 of the patrol officer scale and creates an additional step effective July 1, 2026 for officers with 120 months of service and sergeants with 60 months. Town Counsel Kate Feodoroff called the settlement reasonable for preserving wage competitiveness.
