Monson Select Board unanimously appoints town counsel and greenlights first clerk fee increases in 23 years. Town Clerk Mary Watson's office will raise vital records from $8 to $10, dog licenses for fixed dogs from $5 to $10, and six other fee categories, effective July 1. The board also unanimously increased the Parks and Recreation pool revolving fund spending authority from $100,000 to $150,000 to cover higher-than-anticipated expenses and receipts, approved sealer of weights and measures fee schedules for two calendar years, adopted a sustainable purchasing policy required under the recycling grant program, and dissolved the Electronic Voting Committee, whose work was complete.
