MONSON — Select Board defers police lieutenant appointment after interviews. The board heard from Sergeant Adam Szymanski and Sergeant Jane Bailey, the two finalists from an outside consultant's four-phase evaluation process, but Peter Warren, Patricia A. Oney, and John R.
Morrell split on timing: Warren and John R. Morrell voted 2–1 to reconvene at a date to be determined so Warren could review his notes and the consultant report, while Oney opposed, preferring to decide that night. The position opened when Chief Gasperini was promoted.
