Monson Water & Sewer Commission greenlights preliminary budgets with small rate increases. The water rate will rise from $7.30 to $7.50 per 1,000 gallons and the sewer flat rate from $131.50 to $134.00 per quarter, reflecting increases in wages, utilities, and operating expenses, Superintendent Craig Jalbert reported. The water budget increases $7,051 and sewer increases $16,467 from the prior year.
Debt service payments remain unchanged, and the commission will revisit other service fees in March before final presentation to the Finance Committee.
