MONSON — Water & Sewer Commission approves FY2027 rate increases effective April 1. Superintendent Craig Jalbert and the Commission, led by Chairman Marshall L. Harris, voted unanimously to raise the water consumption rate from $7.30 to $7.60 per 1,000 gallons and restructure water service fees including tiered water tanker rates and increased after-hours labor charges.
The sewer residential rate rose from $131.50 to $134.50 per quarter to cover a $33,472 operating variance and a $46,200 interest-only payment on short-term borrowing for Palmer Capital projects. Tank inspections are scheduled for May 7 and 8, and Palmer Road Well rehabilitation is anticipated in April with return to service in May.
